How to apply

You make your application online. Don’t leave applying until the last minute as there’s quite a bit to do – but you don’t need to complete the application all at once.

Here are the things we need

  • Your personal information
  • Your BVN
  • Your employment status (If you are a student, your parent or another adult would need to register and apply as well)
  • Your bank statement
  • Your Valid Passport or Drivers License
  • Your acceptance letter or tuition advice
  • A guarantor for loans under ₦500,000 or colletoral for loans over this amount

Register on Ted

  1. Choose your role and create an account
  2. Verify your email (Make sure your email address is always up-to-date)
  3. Complete all your personal details (Make sure they're correct as these details will be used to create your account)

Validate your BVN

You will need to provide consent to pull data from your BVN and verify your profile details. Without this your account will be restricted.

Complete the loan application

  1. You must complete all mandatory questions and you can’t skip any sections
  2. We'll ask for a utility bill
  3. We'll ask for your emoloyment status and details
  4. We’ll ask for proof of identification
  5. We’ll ask for your wards details
  6. You will input the a loan amount and duration
  7. Submit your application

Accept ourOffer

Once you have completed all the mandatory sections, and submitted your application, it will be reviewed.

If you qualify, your student loan will be approved and you will the need to accept our offer

To activate your loan, you will need to deposit the processing fee in your Ted account.

Once the processing fee has been settled, the loan will be activated. Your Ted wallet is then automatically debited & paid directly to your university.
